If you have a PC or laptop with Windows 8 and if you search for the "Run" function under "Start", you will probably not find it. The reason is that Microsoft has banned this function from the start menu. However, it is still possible to run this function under Windows 8. There are two options:
1. The quickest and easiest way is the keyboard shortcut. Press the Windows key + R at the same time. This shortcut immediately shows you the "Run dialog" under Windows 8.
2. If you often need the Run function in Windows 8, you can simply display this function on the right-hand side of the Start menu. It works like this:
Tap Start -> Control Panel -> Search
Look for "Run" and right click on the search result. You can now choose:
- "On start page"
- "Pin it to the taskbar"
Both types work perfectly to enable the "Run" function in Windows 8 to be used quickly and easily.
