This error usually occurs in Windows 10 with a virus scanner running in the background, which is sure to be the case for many of you. For this reason, we recommend that you disable or remove the virus scanner on your computer before downloading and updating Windows 10.
If you are already affected by the error C1900208 during the upgrade to Windows 10, you must now delete the failed update from your PC. This is very easy to do with the following instructions:
Restart the Windows 10 update process
1. Open Windows Explorer and navigate to the following path: "C: Windows SoftwareDistribution Download"
2. Delete all files in this folder
3. Now open the start menu as administrator and then the command prompt: All Programs -> Accessories -> Command Line (run as administrator)
4. Now enter the command "wuauclt.exe / updatenow" in the console
