1. Enable third-party cookies2. Disable Hardware Accelerator3. Clear the cache, cookies and history of Google Chrome4. Try Incognito mode

1. Enable third-party cookies

Some users have blocked cookie settings for specific websites. This problem causes Google Chrome to not load Twitch streams correctly.

To enable third-party cookies, you must follow these steps:

  • Click on the cookie icon with a red X in the navigation bar, next to the star icon
  • Choose Always allow the installation of cookies. Insert your Twitch URL.
  • Click Done and restart the browser, then check if you have fixed the error

2. Disable Hardware Accelerator

The Hardware Accelerator allows your PC to run more efficiently. Sometimes, however, it might generate some web issues while it is active. Turn off the Hardware Accelerator to see if it has any effect on your streams.

Follow the steps below to disable Hardware Accelerator in Google Chrome:
  • Click on the three dots in the upper right corner> open Settings
  • Go to the bottom of the Settings window> click Advanced
  • Scroll down to find the section System> disable Use hardware acceleration when available located under System
  • Close Google Chrome and reopen it to see if it fixes the problem
  • If this solution doesn't work, be sure to re-enable Hardware Accelerator.

3. Clear the cache, cookies and history of Google Chrome

Clearing cache, cookies, and history can improve your browser's responsiveness. It can also fix certain charging problems.
To perform a cache, cookies and history flush, follow these steps:
  • Press the three dots in the upper right corner of Google Chrome
  • Expand More Tools> click Clear browsing data
  • Check the boxes next to Cookies and other site data and Cached images and files> click Clear data
  • Go back to Twitch and try loading up a stream.

4. Try Incognito mode

Some users reported that opening Twitch in incognito mode allowed their stream to load. To open a page in incognito mode it is necessary to do so:
  • Press the three dots in the upper right corner of Google Chrome
  • Click New Incognito Window
  • Open twitch.tv in Incognito Mode and see if the streams are able to load
